If you receive Jesus into your life you receive a new identity as a child of God. As it is written in the book of John 1: 12 “but as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. whom you believe determines who you become, when you believe in Jesus you are joined with the Spirit of Jesus, you have a new and strong identity with God. ‘’ but he who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him.” 1 Cor. 6: 16
